Bachelor Button

Photo: You're looking at the center of a pinkish-white bachelor button in Catherine Creek. Another super-macro wildflower photo.

"You're unusually close," said the bachelor. "And you're unusually beautiful!" replied Catherine. (Getting To Know You, 0519, 2010)

Bronze Bell

Photo: Bronze Bell, taken alongside Multnomah Falls. This wildflower is tiny (1/4" X 1/8"). Not quite in focus, but the colors are great! Today I joined a "Friends of the Gorge" hike along Franklin Ridge today (in the rain).

"The gorge needs more friends," said the Bronze Bell. "That's why I'm here!" (Recruitment, 0523, 2010)

Forget-Me-Nots

Photo: Forget-Me-Nots are now blooming in the Columbia River Gorge.

"Seriously," said WahKeeNah, "how could anyone forget You." (Gift-Giver, 0522,2010)

Buckwheat

Photo: Buckwheat at Catherine Creek along the Columbia River. I like looking at this scene.

"OK..." whispered Mr. Jolley. "Sit down, take a deep breath and stay here for the rest of the afternoon." (Unwind the Mind, 0526, 2010)

Maiden Hair Fern

Photo: Maiden Hair Fern along the Franklin Ridge Trail in the Columbia River Gorge.

"Not all ferns are created equal," said the Maiden. (Strengths and Weaknesses, 0528, 2010)
